I want to do a small post each day without giving away any trade secrets…so here are a few pictures from the practice day at the 2015 Bassmaster Classic while I was riding as a Marshal with Andy Montgomery. Andy’s from Blacksburg, I’m from Chester, we both grew up around cows, dogs, guns and fishing rods so it was no wonder we got along so good right from the start. I’ll post a lot more after the Classic is over. Hope you enjoy a little of a very cold day on Lake Hartwell.
“You want the boat or the truck”…nothing like jumping right into the action by backing Andy’s Z-9 down the ramp to Lake Hartwell. Think I’m going to enjoy being a Marshall at the coldest Classic ever!
Does Andy look cold yet? We were actually warm here but once that wind kicked up it got BRUTAL!
In search of the perfect glove…one you can fish and rig with but warm enough to take 24 degrees and 60 mph!

and this is me trying to break the chill. Warm on the water, it wasn’t until after we pulled out and were stowing, then topping off the tanks that the wind really got to us.
